Magento Web Developer

We currently have a great new opportunity for a Magento Web Developer to join our team!

Key Proficiencies

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP5, and MySQL expert
  • Expert understanding of Magento’s code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and fallback components
  • Thorough experience in customizing Magento’s front-end components using layout XML, blocks, and templates
  • Experience with Agile Development
  • Works well under pressure
  • Proficient in Mac or PC environment
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Can follow written and oral instruction successfully
  • Able to work independently, as well as effectively within a small team
  • Experience with enterprise-level ecommerce implementations
  • Firm grasp of Git-based source control
  • Comfortable working in a LAMP (linux, apache, mysql, php) environment
  • Experience working with AWS services

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Updating and modifying our current Magento-based eCommerce website
  • Fixing website bugs
  • Preparing reports using data from our Magento websites
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for website processes
  • Provide on-going PHP development on the core platform adhering to existing standards whilst providing clear documentation of all custom PHP development to accepted business standards.
  • Communicate regularly with Project Manager to provide understanding of technical requirements, processes and dependencies.
  • Provide debugging, support and resolution of platform issues reported by the business.

Experience and Education

  • Minimum of 3-5 years PHP web development experience
  • Minimum of 3 years real-world e-commerce experience with Magento
  • College diploma/degree or equivalent

  • Magento Certified Developer
