You get a handle, you get a handle, and you get a handle! YouTube has just made it easier to add handles to your website!
YouTube announced they will gradually roll out the ability to choose a handle for all channels regardless of follower count. While you already have a personalized URL for your YouTube channel, you can still request a handle.
The difference from channel names is that handles are unique for each account, which makes it easier to establish a presence on YouTube.
Here is an example, if your handle is @thinkforwardmedia, your channel URL will be https://youtube.com/@thinkforwardmedia
Why is this a positive? People can mention you in comments, community posts, and more!

Where can I choose my YouTube handle?
Keep an eye out for notifications in YouTube studio or via email! You might not have the availability to choose just yet.
In the email, you should have a “CHOOSE A HANDLE” button that will direct you to https://www.youtube.com/handle. You should then see the pop-up option to confirm your selected handle. And you’re done!
Starting November 14th, 2022, YouTube will automatically assign you a handle if you haven’t selected a handle for your channel. You can change it in YouTube studio if you change the handle.
